Hi, I'v given the xdg folders a shot, 
But i used blue for both music and videos since it now allows the use of an 
extra colors for other folders , i think these two are easily differentiable at 
16px...

Ok let's wait.

I really like Sebastien's submissions on xdg folders, especailly
because it uses colors.
In my opinion I would like to add a concept: colors can characterize xdg folders
- documents: white-yellow paper with text (reminds old papyrus)
- downloads: green arrow
- music: red note
- videos: blue roll of film
and so on... each different "object" is mostly colored with its own
color (with shades, shadows).
In this way people will get used to associate a color to their choice,
making it really easy to distinguish even smallest icons (used in
GtkFileDialog)
