I believe that the descision was made at uds that the freeculture showcase was about great art, and not about ubuntu specifically. Iain' s idea of using light as a theme is great in principle. However it may be prone to once again receiving ubuntu specific artwork?

I don't know, light's a pretty universal theme. If I have a look at my photo collection for example I can see a few pictures where light is a central theme. It can be interpreted quite broadly.
