Hrrm, Cinepaint has suffered from bitrot for a while now, though I
notice that the author has done some work.

At WIN the Directors (read Editors) used stock Gimp on Windows to touch
up images and so on for ad and programme production.

They also used Blender for a couple of Station Promo's.

Does Jokosher actually work yet? I haven't played with in a while, so
I'm curious.

Ardour does my head in though. Probably cos I'm not a professional sound
guy.

With kdenlive now leading the Linux NLE race, what we need is a working
compositor.
