I commented out all of those sections and Gutsy still booted into a lower resolution.
I started up nvidia-settings again (sudo nvidia-settings) to alter the xorg.conf file. There is a section that asks for your default resolution. Mine was set to 'auto' so I changed it to '1280x800, restarted x, and now I'm back into 1280x800 as my default resolution. I have one more question that I hope you all may be able to help with. I'm trying to auto mount a drive located on my wife's Windows box that I've set up as a samba share. I can access the drive via Places -> Network but the line I'm entering into fstab isn't working. The line is -> //goodvibes-desk/C /mnt/windows_media smbfs fmask=0777,dmask=0777 0 0 The 'C' in the first section works fine, however, that's not the drive I wish to mount. The share name of the drive is '3 (E)'. If I enter 3 (E) then I get an error. If I enter 3%20(E), what Nautilus displays, I also get an error. I know I can connect because when I use 'C' as the share name there are no issues. Any ideas on how this should be represented in fstab? -- ubuntu-au mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au
