It depends where the problem is. It could be firefox, an OS problem (eg.
drivers), a router or your ISP. As Matthew Rossi said, try running firefox
in safe mode (from memory, type "firefox -safe-mode" in the terminal). If
that works, disable one add-on at a time and see if it makes a difference.
If it does, the last add-on you disabled is causing the problem. If running
firefox in safe mode doesn't work, try running the browser
opera<http://www.opera.com/download/>.
If you have access to other computers in the house on the same network and
they experience the same issue, then the problem'll be with your router or
ISP.
