VB1.5 was working like magic before. I did some searching on the web, found [1], not sure if you have seen it tho.
[1] deals with USB and vboxusers issues, seems like what you need. I haven't tried anything personally, hope it works for you. Don't hesitate to ask for more help, if you need them.
