Yep. I have networked quite a few scanners over the years. sane support for networking scanners is excellent (and simple to do once you remember where the howto is) :) <OT> It would be cool if there was a GUI tool for managing scanners and sharing them. system-config-printer is great for cups and printers, something like this for sane and scanner is what I am thinking of. (I am happy using the command line, but I hate having to always read a howto for things which seem to me should just work out of the box).
