I found when i set up Bigpond wireless on my gutsy laptop, i didn't have
to do any of the tricky things that they talk about on the Quozl page.

The modprobe command would have to be done every time you boot, but i
believe you can set the vendor and product ids (which are obtained from
lsusb) in /etc/modprobe.d/options and they will stick across reboots.
(I haven't tried this.)  Then all you would have to do is modprobe
usbserial and set up the dialup connection in network manager.
