Not Aussie, but I have both ArsTechnica and Phoronix in my RSS reader: http://arstechnica.com/ http://www.phoronix.com/ Ars covers the occasional Linux bit, but is a good industry-wide news site. The authors are highly technical, so the news is generally of a better quality than sites like ZDNet and others, who quite frankly make me embarrassed to be in professional IT sometimes. One of the article writers has a background in micro electronic engineering, and their articles on new CPU design are very in depth, but still easily readable even for those without similar qualifications. Phoronix is dedicated to Linux and Solaris, and has a host of reviews and benchmarks of various Linux distros running on new hardware, including things like WINE to native Windows comparisons, etc. - -Dan -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFIcV7LeFJDv0P9Qb8RAryRAJ99NGtto/qRtEf78FuTry2jw1iddQCgqa34 UQ2mu+V1QyWMZZEWfL399Aw= =q3XB -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- ubuntu-au mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au
