We are pretty good, most of our connections aren't overly exposed
(Some are underground all the way till they are out to sea) or are
remote enough not to matter.
There was mention of this in a podcast on secthis.com recently as to
how vulnerable the USA's connections coming in are, there are about 14
connections, and they are mostly secured by a simple chain-link fence.
There locations are well known and easily accessable. Take these 14
down and the USA is cut off from the rest of the world communication
wise. This could be incredibly financially crippling for the US
economy.
