I have inherited a Lexmark x1195 printer. I used to use it in Windows. Ubuntu recognises the printer but, of course it doesn't work as is in Linux.
The printer comes with an installation disk for Macintosh. I recall someone saying that it may be possible to use Mac drivers to run that printer in Ubuntu (8.04). Please can I have some advice on this? Also, I have a Canon 5200f scanner. Doesn't work in Ubuntu! I have been told that HP is the hardware to go for. Given that I might simply decided to replace my hardware, I would appreciate recommendations on a good - all in one colour printer/scanner(with film facilities)/etc. I do have a Hp laserjet 6L which I will continue to use for b&w printing. It works well. Dave W -- ubuntu-au mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au
