I have recently installed the HP P1005. I have found that unless the
printer in powered on before I boot up (into Ubuntu 8.04) the system
does not recognise the printer when I try to use it.

I tend to forget to turn it on before booting up which forces me to
re-boot when I want to print. Most inconvenient!

Anyone know how to overcome this?
