found a work a round bought new phone Ipaq 612c It has a usb Internet connecting programme. Just comes up as a wired LAN network with Internet shearing no configuration required. I don't know if this is a HP programme or a wm6 programme but it runs great all. happy now new phone and wireless Internet Thanks for all your help and sorry for giving in
