Hi Tony, Firstly thanks for the wxsvr link! it's not on the new aprs.net.au site! and I was just about to look to find the relevant zones and see if they get passed to RF!
I'm happy with javAPRSSrv, but I have to admit its a little overkill for an Igate ;) but that said, it (for me) has worked flawlessly the only rebooting required is due to ubuntu karmic updates, oh yes I'm running it on Linux! (ubuntu-server) so no GUI just good old CLI ;) there are specific settings for traffic limits I just didn't post them in that last post! but you are right about the corner peg issue! the only down side to javAPRS, is that you can only have one port connected to it (the same limit is also in APRSD) this I think is a little narrow minded but then I suppose the average Igate is only working on one port! :-/ If you like I can post you my config to have a look at (off list!) I also posted a rather lengthy howto on the jaAPRSSrv yahoo grp, for installing on Debian/Ubuntu... most of the info in that was provided by Hamish (VK3SB) so I'm not sure if you were going to run it (potentially?) on Windows or Linux, and if it is to be Linux then what ever your preferred distro is! -- Scott Evans VK7HSE Phone: +61362291658 Mobile: +61417586157 Skype: vk7hse [email protected] http://www.vk7hse.hobby-site.org PGP/GPG Key ID 437E00F9 -- This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
