Tom, look for a button that says Fn in the bottom right or left corner of the keyboard, then look through all the f1 f2 f3 f4... keys for one that has a monitor symbol. Hit the one with the monitor symbol while holding down the Fn key once you've booted into the liveCD (Guess)
