I recently set up a '3 mobile broadband' http://www.three.com.au/ for my mum (running Ubuntu 9.04).
I needed to ring '3' to get some details that were missing from the info pack. It was very easy to configure manually - I had to guide 3's consultant as to what information I needed. And iirc, I had to restart her machine for the net to kick in. My mum has travelled with it: Wodonga, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle and it's worked fine in urban centres... but I'm not too sure what 3's rural mobile coverage is like if you are heading out in the sticks. hth, Meryl -- ubuntu-au mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au
