As far as I can tell, I need to feed that ap_scan = 2 parameter to wpa_supplicant somehow. Ideally, I'd like to do this via Network Manager, which uses wpa_supplicant as a backend. If I start monkeying around with /etc/network/interfaces, then nm won't be able to manage the interfaces, which would kind of defeat the purpose of using nm. Looking at the wpa_supplicant docs, it seems that nm calls the wpa_supplicant app via d-bus calls configured in the /usr/share/dbus-1/system-services/fi.epitest.hostap.WPASupplicant.service file. http://live.gnome.org/NetworkManager/Debugging ^^ This page has given me a few more ideas. I'll keep trying. Cheers, MoLE -- ubuntu-au mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au
