Hi all (I hope the formatting is OK), There were a few things that were happening in March for Ubuntu-AU:
- The March IRC meeting was held on the 11th March and attended by 9 people. - JoelPickett <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JoelPickett> and JoelAddison<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JoelAddison> held events on the weekend of the UbuntuGlobalJam<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGlobalJam>. The events included: translation, wiki clean-up, localisation and artwork jam - the translation jam aimed to fix up strings that had been mistranslated and to tackle some of the en_AU packages on Launchpad - the wiki jam had participants cleaning up and updating the subpages of the AustralianTeam <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/AustralianTeam> wiki - the localisation jam finalised the iso defaults for the en_AU Ubuntu CD - the artwork jam encouraged participants to create Ubuntu materials - including posters, flyers and other Ubuntu-related artwork - Two release parties have been set for the PrecisePangolin<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PrecisePangolin> cycle. Sydney is hosting an event on the Saturday, 21st April and Brisbane on the 6th May. Details for these events can be found at: ubuntu-au loco events<http://loco.ubuntu.com/teams/ubuntu-au/events> [1]. - gorilla on IRC shared a project he's working on, aptly named LazerCombat <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LazerCombat> - Paintball, lazer-style <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNWNEiOcve8> [2].
