The entire muting+zeroing was a hackaround for broken drivers. Hopefully we've nailed most of those as of 2.6.35, though I can't easily verify as much because I'm running 2.6.36-rc4 with no easy way to test locally (not to mention my controller is reportedly fixed as of 2.6.32). Also, the initscript change was mysteriously dropped in the Maverick merge, so the only real pending bits in alsa-utils bzr are its restoration and the init db additions. > Or if there is a way to delay "alsa-utils stop" until PulseAudio is long > gone? It certainly wouldn't hurt. :-) -Dan _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-audio-dev Post to : ubuntu-audio-dev@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-audio-dev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
