The new version should run alright on feisty, without the new libgpod artwork transfert to ipod will not work but that's not really an issue, the ogg vorbis tagging might need some gstreamer fixes, I don't really know about this one, though the configure.in would probably have updated requirements if that was the case, backporting should not be an issue
