groups and post the output. I believe this is because the user isn't part of the scanner group. If it's missing (which I'm 90% sure it will be): Click System Click Admin Click Users and Groups Click Unlock Click Manage Groups Click scanner Click Properties Put the check mark next to the user name. Then Click OK, Close, Close The printer should now work with the toolbox.. Till, I think this is related to the hal problem...
