Amazingly I was able to find a fix after scouring this site. The answer was in bug #75055. If I added pci=nomsi to my kernel line in the menu.lst file I was able to get past BusyBox. Unfortunately all is not well. I can't seem to get Hardy to recognize my ipod and it freezes occasionally. I'm going to turn off compiz effects and see if that is the source of the freezes.
