This bug is fixed in -proposed/updates (depending on the release), but
you are using the package from gutsy-backports.
gutsy-backports has 0.97+final-0ubuntu1~gutsy1 (backport from hardy), so
I'd suggest backporting 0.97+final-0ubuntu5.1 (the SRU) from hardy.
Another possibility would be to backport 0.97.2 from intrepid, not sure
if it would work.
