Thank you Noel for the instructions. I am in fact using it. The presence of an updated package in the developers' PPA should not be a pretext not to release an update or, at least, a backport. There are a lor of Yahoo! users using Ubuntu who are not going to add a PPA - they do not want to, or they are not able to. It is a regression, it should be fixed.
