I found this bug searching for zerofree. Hardy is no longer supported, so it is unlikely that the package will be added to the hardy repository. However, I was able to install the version for Intrepid(8.10) using the dpkg command without errors.
I suspect this will work fine, but I'm not an expert. I have tested on an ext3 filesystem inside a Virtualbox VDI disk image, and it appeared to complete without errors. It allowed for compacting the Virtualbox disk image, which is why I wanted zerofree. ref: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/intrepid/i386/zerofree/1.0.1-1 download http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/z/zerofree/zerofree_1.0.1-1_i386.deb -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backporters, which is subscribed to Hardy Backports. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/322674 Title: Please backport zerofree to hardy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hardy-backports/+bug/322674/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-backports mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports
