I added utopic sources to my trusty installation pinned at a low priority. After running apt-get remove --purge virt-manager libvirt-bin python-spice-client-gtk spice-client-gtk apt-get autoremove apt-get autoclean
apt-get update apt-get install virt-manager/utopic libvirt-bin/utopic python-spice-client-gtk/utopic spice-client-gtk/utopic service libvirt-bin restart I was able to start virt-manager >=1.0 and access the new snapshot features. However after rebooting I don't have a virbr0 adapter, so my utopic solution is not 100% yet.
