Yes, this was directed to fix the bug in the description. However, there is #1969902 reported which seems to be a fundamental problem with python 3.10 which also causes this issue. So I expect those reverse dependencies also to have issues currently when they actually use python3-websockets in the way that the py3.10 incompatibilty is triggered. I guess, addressing this via SRU would be the better solution after having a look at the other bug report.
