Hello Guys, Its been a while ubuntu-bd is in freenode. We talk on the #ubuntu-bd channel on freenode server. Its just a chat room like those you have seen in yahoo. We people are here waiting for guests who'll come and ask us for help. We'll gladly try to help you. If you ask for a solution in forum, you'll get a solution. But not that once. If you use IRC you can just have a chat conversation with someone who may help you. Its live.
Just come and see what we are doing. we are discussing on various topics, sharing thoughts etc. Some of us were always online almost 24 hours last week. We were eagerly waiting that someone will come and ask "how do I..","Can I..." or any related question. But the the number of visitor is really too low. So please come and ask. We know we have lots of question in our mind. All you need is a IRC client and a suitable nick for you. Setting up an IRC chat client is very simple. In ubuntu there are lots of clients, kopete, konversation, pidgin, ircii(console) etc. In windows, you can use the familiar mIRC, x-chat. you can use chatzilla add-on in Firefox. Opera has IRC chatting functionality too. When you got a chat client, choose a nick name. Then connect the irc.freenode.net server. and join #ubuntu-bd channel. thats it. so simple. For your convenient I'm giving the details of the server. server: irc.freenode.net port: 6667 channel: #ubuntu-bd This was not a tutorial, just an overview. Ubuntu Bangladesh Official support team is waiting for you. Thanks -- A K M Mokaddim http://talk.cmyweb.net/ Stop Top Posting !!
