Ubuntu is easy by itself (and hopefully will get much more easier in time) so do we need to feed them with everything we can cramming in a disk? The first idea was to create a customized Ubuntu version just to include the codecs/restricted extras (which Medibuntu already does) Then we just wanted to have a better suited distro for most peoples in Bangladesh. Low resource requirements, good package management, just click and go, better support from the scratch, consumer centric (maybe customizable). Ubuntu is nice true, but we need something more out of it..lots to improve. Response from Ubuntu Dev team and the Canonical is slow (and its understandable.. it have grown into such a big project) Besides Ubuntu I have heard there are few other projects that shifts good distro (though I have not used anything but Ubuntu) May be a combined jogaKhichuri from different distro??? Identifying lacking in Ubuntu trying to solve them. (the last point just to tell people we developed a Linux Distro :P) Deciding on the complete list of features will be nice now.... -- Thanking you Shahriar Volunteer, Bangladesh Linux Users Alliance http://linux.org.bd http://forum.linux.org.bd Marketing & Contents Officer, Ubuntu Bangladesh http://www.ubuntu-bd.org Endorsement: আমাদের প্রযুক্তি ফোরাম http://forum.amaderprojukti.com/ and মুক্ত.অর্গ http://mukto.org -- Ubuntu Bangladesh mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bd
