Yes, appnr is really nice site. However, the difference between appnr and ubuntu-apps is that appnr is a list of all software in repositories, while ubuntu apps is based on networking users with showing there love of the apps. Appnr is an alternative to Synaptic or Adept. But Ubuntu Apps is not a full listing of available packages. It is to be used as a lively discussion forum on each app users list there.
