Gul Mehdi, In ubuntu or debian you'll almost never need to use root user. Usage of root user is being deprecated.
the SUDO command does the actions as a SU or SUPER user SU-DO = super user do. So, you do write commands like: sudo apt-get install .. is just okay. Do not use root user without knowing. For admin rights on FileManager you can use like: gksu nautilus ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Use FreeOpenSourceSoftwares, Stop piracy, Let the developers live.
