As Ovronil said, first check out the sound indicator if it is muted or not
If it is not muted then right click on the icon and go to the preferences.
There you will find the output devices. Try all options there one by one,
hopefully you will find out the correct combination there.

Another thing is, you didn't mentioned your sound card model. Can you
confirm that what sound card do you have?
