Guys, I have been thinking about these for a while. By default Ubuntu points to the Bangladeshi mirror. But for some reasons the packages are always outdated or broken. I did a apt-get upgrade last night and the update was only 78MB. I was surprised. A moment ago when I tried to install a few qt4 packages, I found the system broken. This is very annoying.
Does anyone know what's the issue with the local mirror? Is it being maintained? Do you think Ubuntu should no longer set default mirror to the Bangladeshi one? The issue is very confusing for novice users and sometimes for intermediate users as well. I am drawing the attention of the Ubuntu local team and the maintainers of the local repos.
