I think you didn't get my point. I said anyone could do it, any organization, company or person. But what I did talk about what the branding. Good FOSSBD arrange that event, that's a very good thing. But things start to the wrong as they label events with a sticker of FOSSBD. Couldn't you just say an event arranged by the community instead of saying an arranged by FOSSBD? Are you guys not the members of the community?
Since it's an event targeted towards the Ubuntu community, you should have mentioned of the local Ubuntu users, not an organization. When you arrange events like the penguin fair, It is perfectly OK and you are encouraged to use your branding. But it is not the case with the global jam. I hope I was not misunderstood this time :-) Regards On Sep 7, 2012 11:33 AM, "Abu Ashraf Masnun" <[email protected]> wrote: > Learn the meaning of branding first - thats what i can suggest you! > > On Fri, Sep 7, 2012 at 1:10 AM, Ashickur Rahman Noor < > [email protected]> wrote: > > > Hey > > > > Aniruddha, what do you mean branding?? > > > > Where is other community member, specially the Ubuntu Bangladesh LoCo > head, > > or other members??
