I think we didn't change the links because Ubuntu 6.06 is the current LTS release. Also because nobody is really in charge of the website contents. I'm currently in charge of the website container (the installed CMS) Anybody can ask for an editor account to edit pages.
Since the subject pops on the list, I would like the resign from this charge as I don't have time/motivation for it. There is not much activity on the website, but I don't really monitor it and the CMS has not been updated for two or three releases.
