Hello, I'm Stephane a.k.a Carnops, a volunteer support and distribution point in liege. Some time ago, I was contacted by a tenants association of a social real estate complex. I was invited to introduce Ubuntu to their members. So did I ; the mood was excellent and I converted 6 new users. They installed Ubuntu and Kubuntu to their association's computer. Yesterday, some users having problems with their installation asked me to give them more details, what of course I did. The president of the association made me an excellent proposition... As he has very close contact with the local newspaper "La Meuse" and a local TV "RTC Télé-Liège", we could talk about our partnership and a possible spread out of Ubuntu in Liege. I accepted the proposition and plan to use those media to make an invitation to the city administration in the same time. I'd like to say the french "Assemblée National" as migrated to Ubuntu and that I hope Liege will do so. We shoul consider this unique opportunity as it is a free ad and this journalist is considered a reference for the first pages. What do you think about it and would do you advice me to talk about? Should I contact Canonical? Friendly, Stephane

He was looking for a distribution point in Belgium. I've proposed myself and it was ok until he checks on system76 and told me there is already a distribution point in Belgium. So he doesn't got more info that the address taken from the system76' website. I'm talking about the labels put on a laptop beneath the keyboard. http://tech.cybernetnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/08/UbuntuPowered.gif > > - Is it 'done' to add a url (as in from the sponsor)? > > - Does Canonical allow such a thing? > Serge -- Serge van Ginderachter http://www.vanginderachter.be/ Guess what? Wheels have been round for a really long time, and anybody who "reinvents" the new wheel is generally considered a crackpot. It turns out that "round" is simply a good form for a wheel to have. It may be boring, but it just tends to roll better than a square, and "hipness" has nothing what-so-ever to do with it. -- Linux Torvalds, [Desktop_architects] Drivers -- below the OS, Fri Aug 3 18:12:57 PDT 2007 ------------------------------ Message: 8 Date: Wed, 08 Aug 2007 00:26:34 +0200 From: Patrick Coeman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [Ubuntu-be] Powered by Ubuntu To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], Ubuntu Belgium <[email protected]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 http://www.b55.nl/productinfo/?var=1&PrNr=712 Serge van Ginderachter schreef: > On Tue, 2007-08-07 at 23:56 +0200, Patrick Coeman wrote: >> Lots off addresses on the internet, It's called a Case Badges or Custom >> Case Badges. google for it...
