IRC meeting report Present at the IRC meeting 28/10/2009 (in random order) : superT, JanC, jean7491, Gh0sty, alexis_, adi1 1. Past and future events a. Dipro fair in Oostmalle on 25/10 It was a last minute organization (3 days) due to the initial lack of volunteers, finally we gathered 4 volunteers. it was a small fair but Ubuntu-be was present in this area. Participants should write a report in the wiki with lessons learned. b. Dipro fair in Ghent on 08/11 The preparation was started with Kenneth as coordinator. For now there are 2 volunteers (and possibly 3 with Gh0sty) from Ghent, 1 from Bruges and 1 from Ostend. More volunteers are needed. Release parties are organized by Indymedia in Antwerp (01/11) and by HCC Vlaanderen in Mechelen (02/11) d. Release party in Ghent on 21/11 We need a working-group of volunteers in charge of the event. Mike was expected to launch the organization, but he will not be available to do it. Again we need volunteers and a coordinator from Ghent area. If no volunteers appear, we have to decide something (cancellation or other location) next week. e. Dipro fair Antwerp on 29/11 The preparation is on track, we have enough volunteers, but we still face a problem to move promotion material and some hardware from Ostend to Antwerp : suggestions are welcome! 2. Promotion material, event boxes and other ideas No new information about event boxes (Ghent and Antwerp) Home printed CD sleeves 9,10 : we are expecting the ad-hoc artwork. 3. Things living in the mailing list Support points map : we should maintain an updated map or possibility of local support for beginners. --
