IRC meeting 02/12/2010 – Report

1. Past and future events - November - December 2010
  a.  Dipro fair Antwerp 28/11/2010
The event was successful and the organization OK. A lot of visitors in 
the morning, as usual. A report in the wiki will follow.

  b. Dipro fair Mechelen 12/12/2010
nero will organize the booth, with the help of 3  volunteers. Additional 
volunteers are welcome.

  c. Dipro fair Leuven 16/01/2011
woutervddn and Steven V. are the 2 first volunteers.
Ubunteros from Leuven area are invited to participate to this event.

2. Promotion
  a. t-shirts for Ubuntu-be   (warddr leading the project not present)
To develop the project, a t-shirt working-group started with woutervddn 
and gadeynebram (as coordinator). Mail is sent to ask warddr to join and 
support the group with his experience and information. Interested 
volunteers will be welcome.
A first order of 100 Ubuntu-be t-shirts should be available for FOSDEM 
2011 (05-06/02/2011). Last decisions on this issue: see IRC meeting 
29/09/2010 - report and previous meeting-reports in the wiki. Project 
should be fairtrade + "green" if possible.
Final design is not yet decided: the preselection in the wiki can be 
improved. JanC think maybe we can ask open source designers like OSP if 
they want to make a design. woutervddn has added a new design in the 
wiki (v9).

  b. Ubuntu and Education  : no new information

  c. Remember: we need a new french press contact, as the current 
contact has resigned for personal reason. No information yet.

  d. Customized Ubuntu-be iso file for the fairs and other events?
The idea has to be developped. Item will added at the agenda of the next 
meeting.

3. Update Wiki Belgian Team : no information.

4. Support points map status
A support points map is still under development.
On the web-site, there is no information about registration for new 
points of support. A bug report has been written. Additionally, it is 
suggested to send an email explaining the procedure how to register as 
support point to the mailing list. A draft is sent to JanC for review.
There are approximately 150 updated points of support listed on the 
web-site : http://ubuntu-be.org/fr/supporters .

5. Things living in the mailing list and others questions ?
  a. For information, newcomer in the Belgian Local Community Team 
(launchpad) last week:  maik (DarkEra) already active in ubuntu-nl.
