Discussed today with a colleague, wether at our working place we could build a case with ICT to start working from our work pc (MS and MSO) with Ubuntu and other open source apps. Android smart phones are standardly distributed, so this would be a great pro to get this going.

Thanks Wouter!

was watching it too and looks pretty great :-)
it's just not that clear to me if unity is running ON the android device,
ore running on the desktop you connect your android device to ??
any ideas ?

I just saw it too. Thing is, what about apps?

yes I saw it too yesterday...
but first priority is to "root" your device (I believe Aldi is again
selling their android smartphones for 199euro... only drawback is that it
doesn't have a hdmi to connect it to your television set... )
Perhaps an "android tablet" is better?

Hey guys, just spotted this:

http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2012/02/watch-ubuntu-for-android-in-action/

I went crazy when I saw it. Basically you're android phone can run
Ubuntu, and when you connect it to a desktop it will show you Ubuntu
Desktop running Unity2D, and when you connet it to a tv it will give you
the Ubuntu-tv interface.
I don't know what you guys think of this, but I think it's big!

Grts
