consegui após algumas horas de tentativas: fiz o seguinte: editei como root o /etc/hosts inseri uma linha com o ip da impressora no meu caso "10.74.50.200 laserjet" (sem aspas) salvei "ping laserjet" no terminal então fui pro cups e segui estes 7 passos 1.) Clicked "Printers" in the horizontal link menu 2.) Clicked on "Add New Printer" 3.) Entered in the following information a.) Name: HPLaserJet (qualquer nome) b.) Location: Multimeios (qualquer nome) c.) Description: HP Color LaserJet 3600dn 4.) Selected "AppSocket/HP JetDirect" in the "Device:" drop-down menu 5.) Entered in "socket://laserjet:9100" for "Device URL:" 6.) Selected "HP" for "Make:" 7.) Selected "HP Color LaserJet 3600 Foomatic/hpijs (en)" for "Model:"
