I've made some to changes to the Ubuntu Bug Patterns[1] README to further document the process of writing a bug pattern. Please let me know if anything regarding writing or testing a pattern is unclear as I'd like to make this as easy as possible.
Additionally, I've added in a '--consolidate' switch to search-bugs so you can use a command like: ./search-bugs --package odt2txt --tags apport-crash --consolidate to merge odt2txt bug reports that are tagged apport-crash into the master bug identified in the pattern.
