I don't believe the wiki page is used anymore to track the mentees. Currently the workflow on the wiki page on how to request a mentor is fine, but adding this step above may help put a mentee with a mentor faster. I agree there should be a couple people who help push mentees in the right direction until they are taken in by a mentor. By having them e-mail mentors it will keep the mentees involved and in their own hands to find a mentor. I figured this was the best scenario since it all depends on the mentor as to who they take and how many they want to take, and I would see it easiest if the mentees e-mail me directly asking to be my mentee. That way if i can't take in any more I can let the mentee know directly so they can ask others.
