I don't think that it would break a lot of setups - it's fine if the default is a low resolution. However, if I specifically select a higher resolution (e.g. during the installation process, or later in the system settings), it should be at least possible that I can use this higher resolution. At the moment, only the low res is possible, although I've selected a higher one during the installation procedure.
