I found it!

It was the "libGl.so.1.2" that was causing the mess!! One person
suggested in ubuntu forums to copy old libGl instead of current one. Now
I get:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/lib$ fglrxinfo
display: :0.0  screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: RADEON 9000 DDR Generic
OpenGL version string: 1.3.1072 (X4.3.0-8.25.18)

I guess that file/driver is buggy, with broken ATI9000 support...
