I find it hard to believe that a printer I have used with everything up
until now with minimal fuss is just supposed to sit here week upon week
and not work (or work improperly). I found this thread in March, and no
offense, but nothing at all seems to be happening. Is this actually the
place to report this? And spare me the 24-step method of compiling from
outside repositories that may or may not work listed above. It's a
printer. It has worked (with Ubuntu) before simply by selecting it.
Having that funtionality break is practically inexcusable, and supplying
a two-page workaround as opposed to fixing the problem is what's keeping
projects like these from succeeding. Since it appears that Ubuntu isn't
going to get fixed in the foreseeable future, I will take the tacet
advice and go elsewhere.
