Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: debian-installer
I'm using the Dapper install ISO released today on a Sun T2000 using the
ALOM serial console. The install starts normally, prompts me for the
language, etc. Once it gets to the stage where it would partition the
disk, however, it simply hangs, apparently waiting for input (the normal
blue background is shifted up one line which in my experience with
Debian means it's running a program outside of the installer). If I
Control-C it I can get back to the main partitioning screen but
attempting to finish partitioning will result in the usual error about
not having a root partition.
The debconf/frontend=text boot parameter has no effect. I have not yet
had time to create a preseed file for testing purposes to see if I can
get past the partitioning stage.
** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
Importance: Untriaged
