You'll need to boot with a breezy kernel (or breezy CD, in recovery
mode). Mount and chroot into the rootfs if you need to, then
edit /etc/yaboot.conf, and remove "quiet splash" for the options. After
editing the file, run "ybin -v". You should now be able to reboot
without the splash getting in the way.
