Public bug reported: When using open office, using the print icon in the toolbar, I hope to just print to the only printer I have configured. Unfortunately there is a 'Generic' printer that doesn't result in a printout, this Generic printer appears to be the one selected when the toolbar icon is used. When using File/print, the print dialog shows this Generic printer being selected, I have to scroll down one to pick (the only) configured printer in the system.
I dont know if this is a open office problem or not. The active printer is marked as the default through System/Printers so I suspect open office. This has been the case for as long as I can remember (breezy to current dapper releases) ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- OpenOffice print icon always selects defunct Generic printer, not the system default https://launchpad.net/bugs/50309 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
