Public bug reported:

1. Problem: My dapper 32 installation only sets AGP correctly if I start
a 64-bit linux distros (or Windows XP) and then restart into dapper-32
without turn off computer.

2: Full Description: I've trying to configure a MSI-RX-9550 display
adapter and getting mtrr and xf86_ENODEV errors. Researching futher I've
discovered that when I start dapper-32 right after turn on my computer,
I've got the following messages:

a) lsmod | grep agp:

amd64_agp 13252 0
agpgart 37072 2 fglrx,amd64_agp

b) excerpt from /var/log/syslog when agp is not correctly configured:

Jun 19 12:03:08 enterprise kernel: [17179591.872000] Linux agpgart interface
v0.101 (c) Dave Jones
Jun 19 12:03:08 enterprise kernel: [17179591.880000] agpgart: Detected AGP
bridge 0
Jun 19 12:03:08 enterprise kernel: [17179591.880000] agpgart: Setting up
Nforce3 AGP.

When it happens, I got the following errors on Xorg.0.log:

(EE) fglrx(0): [agp] unable to acquire AGP, error "xf86_ENODEV"
(EE) fglrx(0): cannot init AGP

If I boot my computer on SUSE 10.1 64-bits or Windows XP 32-bits and,
then, restart my computer on to dapper-32bits, i got the following
messages:

a) lsmod | grep agp:

amd64_agp 13252 1
agpgart 37072 2 fglrx,amd64_agp

b) excerpt from /var/log/syslog when agp is correctly configured:

device at 0000:01:00.0 into 8x mode

The only I got AGP correctly configured is starting a 64-bits linux
distro and, then, re-starting on dapper. When I do it, I got AGP running
ok and my radeon card working fine.

3. Configuration:

Motherboard: ASUS K8N - Bios 1011
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3000+
Memory: 1280 MB - DDR 333
Display Adapter: MSI RX9550 - ATI Radeon
