Binary package hint: firefox
Hello,
Doing a fresh Kubuntu/LTS Install from cdrom:[Ubuntu-Server 6.06 _Dapper
Drake_ - Release i386 (20060531)], there is a problem with the firefox
home page.
It points to file:///usr/share/ubuntu-artwork/home/locales/index-
fr_FR.html (in my case locale is fr_CA)
However, links from this page are broken :
file:///usr/share/ubuntu-artwork/home/locales/wonderful-linux.html does not
exist.
I don't know if firefox is responsible or the kubuntu-docs package.
There is is several levels of symlinks :

After searching my file system, I think that the correct home page should be :
file:///usr/share/doc/kde/HTML/fr/kubuntu/about-kubuntu/index.html
(this is provided by the kubuntu-docs)
My proposal would be to :
1) link firefox-homepage directly to the index.html not to the localized index :
/usr/share/ubuntu-artwork/home/index.html
[=> links would then be correct]
2) Have all the localized index-xx_YY.html in the same directory as the
non-localized index.html
[=> links would then be correct]
3) update the firefox home-page (update-alternative firefox-homepage) to make
it point to the "right" localized version. In my case :
/usr/share/doc/kde/HTML/fr/kubuntu/about-kubuntu/index.html
[fr is dependant on the locale]
[=> links would then be correct & localized]
